Building or redesigning a home comes with a lot of decisions. So much happens between "wouldn't it be nice if..." and actually moving in. By combining what I know with what you're picturing, we create something that isn't a carbon copy of the house next door — a finished home that's unmistakably yours.

Design my Home

The process

Introduction meeting:

A chance to sit down together and look over your plans, and really get a feel for your vision and inspiration. Before we meet, I'll send through a short online questionnaire, and I'd love to see any mood boards you've already been building — Pinterest, magazine tears, whatever's been inspiring you. For renovations, we'll usually do this on site; for new builds, we'll meet at the AD-Library. It's also your chance to work out whether I'm the right fit for you (no hard feelings either way).

Getting into it:

By now I've got a good feel for what you're after, and we've both decided we're a good fit to work together, let's go! This is where we nail down the brief, scope of work, timeframe and budget. I'll put together a tailored scope of work document, and from there, we move into Concept design.

Concept design:

I bring the vision to life: interior plans, lighting options, furniture options, joinery plans, materials (flooring, tiles, paint, joinery) and 3D renders of key areas, so you can properly see the finished design before a single wall goes up.

Detailed design proposal:

Once the concept design is approved, we move into the next stage. I'll put together a detailed estimate and schedule for taking your home from concept through to completion, along with full and accurate plans to send to trades for tender and quotation. We'll review the quotes together, and I'll help you land on the right trades for your project.

Project management:

During the build or reno, I take the logistics off your plate; ordering materials, furniture and fittings, engaging trades, managing delivery and installation timeframes, and running regular on-site meetings to keep everything on track.

Styling:

This is the fun part! This is where the project comes to life. Furnishings, joinery, clean linen, window treatments. I find each piece’s perfect setting within your home and style it accordingly to turn all the plans and ideas into reality.

Completion:

Once everything's exactly where it should be, finished to the highest standard — it's time to enjoy your new home with your whānau and friends.
